2025年9月，抖音曾对长文功能进行小范围内测，支持至少300字、上限4000字的优质图文创作活动。该功能正式上线后，字数被进一步拓宽至8000字。在首页中，这些长文以配图+文字滚动的形式出现，并伴随轻音乐的播放。用户点击文字下方的“阅读原文”，即可进入完整内容页面。
